Ant House Block Set
The Ant House Block Set is inspired by Canadian writer and illustrator Marianne Dubuc’s “Here comes Mr. Postmouse” picture book. In our Homeland collection I wanted to include homes and lives of other creatures, and encourage children to explore more complex ecosystem on our planet by playing. I chose ants represent this role, cause ants are so small yet they have a big influence in our co-existing.
This block set has a vast diversity of pieces which allows it to be used for open-ended play, STEAM play, pretend play and even stacking challenges. Explore the complex social structure of ants society and division of labor: set includes queen ant and worker ants. Create the tunnels of the ant nest and set different chambers. Learn about the ant’s food preferences: cute little apples, nuts and strawberries will be favorite for different play sets. Additionally, recreate the human world and surface journey of ants with the basic geometric shapes that come in this set.
This set comes with a fun play poster with facts about ants on one side which can be easily integrated into play and play ideas on the other side. After play, store the blocks easily in the wooden tray.
The Ant House Block Set includes 49 diverse pieces. Our toys retain natural texture and are easy to for little hands to grab, with a soft, velvety like surface.
This toy is shown in some photos with other toys that are sold separately and not included with your purchase of this toy. This is to demonstrate how toys can be used in endless ways. Throughout the site, the items included in your purchase will be shown on the first photo for each product.
