AVDAR The Story Block – 2025 Design Event Winner

"Stories connect our generations with love" - The design shows an infant in their bassinet, their mother (or older sibling) and the grandparent, all enjoying story time together.

The Story Block is the winning design from the 2025 AVDAR “The Story” Design Event, created by Emmy Cohen from the Netherlands. This toy includes 23 versatile handcrafted pieces and a square tray for easy storage and advanced builds. Produced in a limited run of only 200 units, each The Story Block is individually numbered. 

5% of all sales from the Story Block Set are donated to Stichting Dom-Ray (www.dom-ray.nl), supporting meaningful change beyond the playroom.

Founded in 2007 by Emily Cohen (Emmy), Dom-Ray works to create brighter futures for disadvantaged communities in developing countries — with a special focus on children and young adults in Cambodia. Through education, shelter, and community support, Dom-Ray helps open doors to opportunity where it's needed most.
