Journey Home Puzzle Toy

AVDAR Journey Home Puzzle Toy is the 2024 AVDAR Homeland Design Event’s winning piece submitted by Kathlyn Foo from Malaysia. The inspiration for this design is “Home is where our story begins and our hearts find solice”

This toy includes 16 carefully hand crafted pieces and a carrying round tray for storage.  It combines several types of blocks: wooden boards in different colors, wavy blocks, and sea figures. The back of the turtle figures represents the hawksbill sea turtles that inspired Kathlyn to submit her artwork. These critically endangered turtles are known for their hawk-like beaks and distinctive shell patterns. Like other sea turtles, hawksbills travel thousands of miles to their homeland for nesting. This toy tells the incredible story of sea turtles traveling thousands of miles to return to their birthplace to lay their eggs. It beautifully illustrates how deeply interconnected all species are with their homelands.

Journey Home Puzzle Toy is produced as a limited edition with only 200 units and each of them is numbered accordingly.
